 R. Wood "Woody" Northup
Rotary Club of Louisville
R. Wood (Woody) Northup attended Benedictine HS in Richmond, Virginia, then the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 1970. He met his wife Anne the first night of their freshman year (she was at St. Mary’s), and have been married for 40 years. They have six children: David (39), Katie (37), Joshua (deceased), Kevin (34), Erin (31), and Mark (28). They live right across the street from Holy Spirit Church on Lexington Rd, and have been members there since 1986.
He started his business, Radio Sound, Inc in 1985. They supply sound equipment to almost every major motorcycle company in the world. Woody is a graduate of Leadership Louisville (1989), and has served as Chair of the Volunteers of America Board of Trustees, Chair of the Holy Spirit Parish Council, Chair of the Kentucky Industries for the Blind Board of Directors, Chair of the dePaul School Board of Trustees, and President of the Rotary Club of Louisville. He was honored as Rotarian of the Year for that club in 2008. He is also a current member of the Board of Directors of Youth Alive, an afterschool program for kids 11-18 in the west end of Louisville, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Catholic Education Foundation in Louisville.
