2009-10 Scholarship Information

It is now time for you to locate up to three candidates for the 2009-10 Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship selection process in District 6710.  The district subcommittee will be able to select three candidates for the academic-year scholarships and one or two alternates for the 2009-10 award period.

Copies of the current form were mailed to each club president in District 6710.  Additional copies can be downloaded from the RI website using the following address:  http://www.rotary.org/RIdocuments/en_pdf/139en.pdf

Process outline:

• Advertise the availability of the scholarship in your local newspaper, to local public school personnel or institutions of higher education, if applicable;
• Select candidates who meet the criteria outlined in the application, each candidate must be interviewed;
• Coach your candidate(s) through the application process to insure that the form is complete and accurate;
• Submit the properly endorsed application(s) along with 10 copies to the Subcommittee Chair by 1 April 2008 to:

• Arrange for your candidate(s) to attend the district interview on 26 April 2008 in Elizabethtown, KY at the Elizabethtown Community & Technical College at a time and place to be announced.
