District Simplified Grants |

Now is the time to seek out
worthwhile projects for which District Simplified Grant (DSG) funds can
assist. A DSG is a low-paperwork option
for receiving Rotary assistance in funding short-term, typically more modest
endeavors than TRF Matching Grant projects.
Above you will find three additional files. The
first is the District 6710 Simplified Grants Form, and the second is a
compilation of “Hints and Helps” for applying for a D6710 DSG. The “Hints and Helps” also contains
information on pages in the Rotary International website which further explain
DSG and project types for which DSG funds can be available. The last file is the Terms and Conditions for
District Simplified Grants. Please read
follow and apply the Terms and Conditions, as they are the overriding rules
under which DSG operate.
Applications must be on the
District 6710 DSG Application form, and are due to Jeff Sims, District
Grants Chair, no later than October 24, 2008. The application and
all required supporting documentation can be sent by email to jfsmilk [at] bellsouth.net
, or via regular mail to Jeff Sims, 1017 Barbizon Drive, Goshen,
KY 40026. Either method is fine. If sent by email,
please make a reference to 6710 DSG application in the email subject
line so your email does not get confused with spam.
Questions regarding DSG can be
directed to Jeff at 502-262-8686, or correspondence via the email address
above. The 2008-2009 total allocation
for all District 6710 DSG is $10,000.00, so funds are limited. Get you application in soon so that your
project can be considered for a District Simplified Grant.
