District 6710 presents the Rotaract Leadership Training Seminar June 9-10, 2012 On the campus of Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY
Did you know that each Rotary district is supposed to provide training for its Rotaract leaders? Many districts are unable to provide the training needed for their Rotaract leaders, so District 6710 has decided to hold a Rotaract Leadership Training Seminar that is open to all Rotaractors in the region.
What is the Rotaract Leadership Training Seminar (RLTS)? RLTS is an intensive one-weekend training program for Rotaract leaders hosted by District 6710. The extensive curriculum was devised by seasoned Rotaract leaders with international experience in conjunction with Rotarian trainers from the Rotary Leadership Institute and Rotary Mid-South PETS. Because of the amount of information covered in the weekend, participants will also be provided with an extensive resource packet for use as a reference tool after the seminar.
Who should attend? Any Rotaract member can attend. Rotaract officers for 2012-13, particularly incoming club presidents, are especially encouraged to attend. Rotaract club advisors and Rotarians involved with Rotaract are also invited to attend. Topics will be applicable to both university and community based Rotaract clubs. Any Rotaractors within driving distance of Louisville, Kentucky are invited to participate.
Why should I attend? A good Rotaract club doesn't just happen by chance. It takes skilled leaders who have an understanding of how Rotaract and Rotary work. This training seminar is based on Rotary trainings such as the Rotary Leadership Institute and Mid-South PETS but is specifically geared to the needs of Rotaract club leadership. Workshop facilitators will include seasoned Rotarian trainers and experienced Rotaract leaders, including some who have served at the highest levels in Rotaract worldwide. Additionally, the chance to meet other Rotaractors from around the region and learn from your peers is priceless.
What is the cost? The registration cost for anyone from outside District 6710 is $55. There is no registration fee for attendees from District 6710. All registrants are responsible for their own transportation and lodging expenses. Arrangements will be made with a nearby hotel for a group discounted rate.
