Please note: Awards measuring membership and Foundation giving will be announced at the Fall 2011 district conference in order to accurately reflect final membership and contribution numbers.  All other award winners will be announced at the Spring 2011 Multi-District Conference in Nashville.

Best in District
This award is given to those clubs who achieved the Governor's Club of Distinction and have exemplified the ongoing spirit of  ROTARY through their involvement in all four Avenues of Service (Club, Community, Vocational, International) throughout the entire year. 

International Service
  • Best International Service Project - Apply Now
  • Factors to consider: number of club members that participated, positive image/PR generated for Rotary, number of beneficiaries of project, and connection to the 2010-11 presidential areas of emphasis
Club Service
  • Best Newsletter - Apply Now
  • *Highest Average Meeting Attendance
  • *Greatest Net Increase in Membership
  • *Greatest Net Increase in Membership
  • *Greatest Percentage Increase in Membership
Community Service
  • Best Community Service Project - Apply Now

Rotary Foundation Awards
  • *Highest Giving to the Rotary Foundation Average per Member
  • *Largest increase in giving to the Rotary Foundation per Member
*STAR Club for Annual Giving to the Rotary Foundation
A club is recognized as a STAR Club if average annual giving per capita to the Rotary Foundation is $100 or more.
Governor's Club of Distinction - Apply Now
To be eligible for this award, clubs much complete all the items listed below:

 

Club Administration

  • Representation at PETS
  • Planning Guide for Effective Leadership submitted by May 1, 2010
  • Monthly Attendance Report submitted by 10th of each month
  • Fulfill the requirements for the RI Presidential Citation and submit to District Governor by March 31.
Avenues of Service
  • Sponsor projects in at least two of the Presidential Areas of Emphasis
  • Participate in at least one Rotary Youth project (Sponsor a participant for RYLA, Rotaract/Interact Club sponsorship)
Governor's Club of Distinction Continued

Membership

  • Achieve a net increase of two members during 2010-2011

The Rotary Foundation

  • Conduct at least one program highlighting the Rotary Foundation at your club
  • Send a representative to a Rotary Foundation Seminar
  • Include a $100 voluntary contribution for The Rotary Foundation in your club’s dues
  • Increase your club’s contribution to The Rotary Foundation
  • Achieve the recommended club contribution for Polio Plus of $2,000
